Testing Algorithm
If the direct Coombs result is positive due to IgG, then antibody elution will be performed at an additional charge.
The following tests may also be ordered and performed as part of a positive direct Coombs: monospecific direct Coombs, antibody elution, antibody identification, and antibody absorption.
