Collection Container/Tube:

Preferred: Light-green top (lithium heparin plasma gel)

Acceptable: Green top (lithium heparin)

Submission Container/Tube: Plastic vial

Specimen Volume: 0.5 mL

Collection Instructions:

1. Gel tubes: Within 2 hours of collection, centrifuge.

2. Green top tubes: Within 2 hours of collection, centrifuge and aliquot plasma into a plastic vial.
