Preferred: Light-green top (lithium heparin plasma gel)
Acceptable: Green top (lithium heparin)
Submission Container/Tube: Plastic vial
Specimen Volume: 0.5 mL
Collection Instructions:
1. Plasma gel tube must be centrifuged within 2 hours of collection.
2. Green-top tube must be centrifuged, and the plasma transferred to a plastic vial within 2 hours of collection.

Investigating pancreatic disorders, usually pancreatitis using plasma specimens
