Preferred: Light-green top (lithium heparin plasma gel)
Acceptable: Green top (lithium heparin)
Submission Container/Tube: Amber vial
Specimen Volume: 0.5 mL Plasma
Collection Instructions:
1. Within 2 hours of collection, centrifuge the specimen.
2. For plasma gel tubes, plasma may sit on gel refrigerated or be aliquoted into an amber vial. Protect from light.
3. For green top tubes, aliquot plasma immediately into an amber vial. Protect from light.
